John Terry doesn’t mind the burning heat and double session in pre-season training out in New Jersey, USA, if he has the chance to go in goal and show the experts how to do it.
At training yesterday, Thursday, he took off to touch this shot on to the post while a bare chested Jirн Jaroљik watched in admiration.
Training has been remarkably high-tempo but remarkably fun and competitive so far. Milan have arrived in the USA today, Friday. They’ve flown straight into Boston where we play them on Sunday.
Chelsea has a party of 25 players out here, and the only two likely to be unavailable for selection on Sunday are Wayne Bridge, still recovering from his broken ankle but training well, and Ricardo Carvalho, still not being risked after his shoulder operation in the way that Damien Duff wasn’t last pre-season. Ricardo is doing all the training including the competitive work.
